The stock certificate or document assures individual owners that they have specific knowledge that cannot be violated as per the guidelines mentioned. How to obtain stock certification?

Any individuals, students or professionals willing to be stock certified professionals can go for various stock certification examinations conducted by National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM). Here is an example list of details of the examinations that can be opted as follows-

1. NISM-Series-I: Currency Derivatives Certification Examination

Aims: The examination when passed sets a benchmark that examinees have basic knowledge about the Currency Derivatives market segment, future products of exchange traded currency, insight of currency markets, operational process involving risk controls and efficiency and better-quality investor service.

The professionals or students passing the examination will also be considered having good understanding of trading, settlement mechanism and clearing in regards to currency derivatives markets operational in India.

Exam details: - The examination will be of 100 marks with 100 questions which candidates have to complete within 2 hours with 1 mark given per question. The candidates have to obtain 60 percent to pass and overall negative marking will be 25%.

After successfully clearing the exam, candidates are given certificate which remains valid for 3 years only.

Note: - Candidates need to update or furnish their permanent account number in their registration details in order to obtain the certificates.

2. NISM-Series-II-A: RTA-Corporate Certification Examination

Aims - Once candidates successfully complete the examination, they should:

1. Have basic knowledge of securities markets and securities.

2. Have better insight and know the functional roles of RTAs in the corporate securities issuance.

3. Be having sound knowledge about regulatory environment and how RTAs operate in India.

Exam details: - The examination will be of 100 marks with 100 questions which candidates have to complete within 2 hours with 1 mark given per question. The candidates have to obtain 50% to pass and overall negative marking will be 25%.

After successfully clearing of the exam, candidates are given certificate which remains valid for 3 years only.

Note: - Candidates need to update or furnish their permanent account number in their registration details in order to obtain the certificates.

3. Revision of NISM-Series-II-B: RTA-Mutual Fund Certification Examination

The examination when passed sets a benchmark that examinees have basic knowledge in the functions of Registrars to an Issue, Share Transfer Agents (R&T agent) mutual fund R&T organizations; and for enabling better quality investor service along with efficient operational process as well as risk controls. Examination Aims Once candidates successfully complete the examination then:

1. Have basic knowledge of securities markets and securities.

2. Have better insight and know the functional roles of RTAs in the issuance of mutual funds as well as transaction process.

3. Be having sound knowledge about regulatory environment and how RTAs operate in India.

Exam details: - The examination will be of 100 marks with 100 questions which candidates have to complete within 2 hours with 1 mark given per question. The candidates have to obtain 50% to pass and overall negative marking will be 25%. After successfully clearing of the exam, candidates are given certificate which remains valid for 3 years only.
